Nuclear Phase Out in Germany For more than 40 years Höfer & Bechtel has been supporting the safe operation of nuclear power plants, especially in Germany. The Fukushima accidents shocked us as they did all over the world. But without a deep technical analysis these events led to a politically driven accelerated nuclear phase out in Germany. We regret this decision. As we did in the past we will henceforth use our special knowledge to support the safe operation of the still working plants and we will also place our services at our costumers disposal for a safe dismantling of the shut down plants. As in the past we will still design and realize equipment for inspection, handling, cleaning and measurement purposes and will also develop and realize concepts for a dosis-optimized waste treatment - maybe with changing focuses. |
